Gen. Franks announces visit from Jordan king

EDMOND – Retired Army Gen. Tommy Franks says King Abdullah II of Jordan is scheduled to speak to students at an international leadership and debate camp in Edmond this summer.
Franks announced Thursday that Abdullah is expected to speak to students at the “I Debate” conference that runs from July 12-17 at Oklahoma Christian University.The five-day leadership development and debate camp will feature 48 top high school students from 30 states as well as students from other countries. Debate topics will include Social Security and Medicare.
Other participants during the conference will include former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
