The Art of Intelligence; Lessons from a Life in the CIA’s Clandestine Service- by Henry A. Crumpton, Autographed
Henry A. Crumpton walked into the CIA recruiting office in Rosslyn, Virginia, and told the receptionist that he wanted to join Clandestine Service. He was twenty-two years old, and this was the third time he had applied to the CIA. The first time, when he was ten, he had received a kind response encouraging him to reapply when he was older. On the third attempt he succeeded.
