For Immediate Release: May 5, 2020
(HOBART, Okla.) – The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum, along with the Hobart community, will hold its 12th annual Celebration of Freedom in conjunction with Hobart Main Street’s Hometown Harvest and Hobart Bearcats Homecoming scheduled for September 25-26.
“Due to COVID-19 and the gradual reopening of public events across the state, the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum’s board of directors voted to combine Celebration of Freedom with a new community event, Hometown Harvest, set for this fall,” said D’Lese Travis, executive director of the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum. “We are excited to have this opportunity and believe the combination will create a special experience for event attendees.”
All traditional Celebration of Freedom experiences celebrating patriotism and our brave men and women in uniform such as live music, the classic car and motorcycle show, parade, silent auction, Museum tours and more are planned to occur in conjunction with Hometown Harvest activities.
As event planning continues, more information will be available at CelebrationofFreedom.com, TommyFranksMuseum.org and on Facebook @GenTommyFranksMuseum or Twitter, @GenFranksMuseum.
