General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum Kicks Off Charitable Season With Giving Tuesday
For Immediate Release: Nov. 25, 2019
(HOBART, Okla.) – The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum is proud to participate in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Donors are encouraged to commit to giving to the Museum on this special day.
Giving Tuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This global giving movement kicks off the charitable season by inspiring people to take action to improve their communities and give back to the causes they believe in to help create a better world.
Donations will be utilized to provide programming for students, support the Museum’s Mobile Classroom & Road Show, provide regional leadership training workshops and develop educational traveling exhibits.
“We cannot thank our supporters enough,” said D’Lese Travis, executive director of The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum. “Your gift on Giving Tuesday makes an impact far beyond the Museum’s walls. It allows us to achieve our goals and forward the mission of the Museum as well as continuing programing and educational opportunities for thousands of visitors and participants each year.”
