General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum Awarded Platinum Transparency Rating

The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum has recently been awarded the 2018 Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. By sharing information with GuideStar, the Museum is moving beyond previous simplistic ways of nonprofit evaluation in an effort to offer complete and total transparency to its donors.
To reach the Platinum level, the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum offered extensive information to GuideStar’s Nonprofit profile including in-depth financial information, goals, strategies and results. The Museum shares this information in the GuideStar database that is easily accessible to donors, grant-makers, peers and the media.
“In accordance with our long-held belief in being transparent about all that we do, we are thrilled to be recognized with GuideStar’s highest award,” said D’Lese Travis, executive director of the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum. “It is so important to us to show total honesty to the donors and members of our community as well as our local network of museums.”
The GuideStar database contains a profile for every tax-exempt nonprofit registered with the Internal Revenue Service. Nonprofits who keep an updated profile with GuideStar are able to share a wealth of information with the more than 8 million people who visit GuideStar each year.
Admission to the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum is free.
